OXOM is independent and self-funded, and ads are part of that. So they don't come at your expense, these rules apply.
No cookies, no pixels
An ad is an image and a link. No ad network, no Google Ads, no tracking script, no advertising cookies.
The same for everyone
No profiles, no personalised ads. I pick ads by hand and place them in a fixed spot. Everyone sees the same thing.
Always labelled
Every ad says “Advertisement” and the link is marked as paid. Ads never look like OXOM content.
Switch off, no subscription
One click in the footer and the ads are gone. No account, no Plus, no pass, no fee.

What a click counts
Ads link through ads.oxom.co, my own short link service. That way I can see whether an ad works and swap the destination.
What gets counted is rough: country, region and metro area, device, operating system and browser, and which page the click came from. I don't store your IP address or browser identifier; they are only made unrecognisable with a daily key that is deleted the next day. So I can't recognise anyone across days.
Once you click, you're with the advertiser. Their rules apply there, including for cookies.
